Archival Collections Processed
During my time at University of Texas at Austin’s Alexander Architectural Archive, I was lucky enough to get the opportunity to process many different collections of papers, photos, and drawings. This involved arranging the materials and series, preserving materials, and describing the collections for inclusion within online finding aids. Click below to take a look at a few of the collections I have worked on.
Dungeons, Dragons, Documentation Strategy
Presented at TCDL 2012 Poster Session.
Our group helped image and archive the game disks of the role playing game Champions of Krynn for the University of Texas at Austin’s Briscoe Center for American History. This required using a Linux-based digital archaeology rig and floppy controller to make full images and creating access copies on an Apple II to retrieve data that was trapped on the reverse side of double sided disks. We also devised a documentation strategy that proposes adding external materials such as fan websites, walkthroughs, freeze-states, to enhance the accessibility and context of complex digital objects and video game collections.
